Hon. Ali Haji Warsame is an accounting professor, politician, peace activist, and the Executive Director of the HILL Institute for Governance. He currently serves as a Financial Advisor to the Gara’ad Port, a project built by the local community on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis. Additionally, Mr. Warsame is a senior member of the Presidential Committee for Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

With extensive expertise in accounting, auditing, assurance services, and public financial management, Hon. Warsame is one of the few Somali professionals with significant experience in both public and private financial management. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), and the Somali Institute of Certified Public Accountants (SICPA).
